Le Parti conservateur du Québec propose une allocation imposable de 100 $ par semaine pour certaines familles sans place subventionnée, une bonification du crédit d'impôt pour les garderies non subventionnées et le maintien du financement du réseau public. Le parti chiffre le coût net de sa nouvelle allocation à 280 millions de dollars par année et veut financer sa bonification fiscale en abandonnant un programme de conversion de places déjà lancé par Québec.

En 2022, la CAQ promettait de financer 11 700 logements sociaux et abordables durant son mandat. Au bilan gouvernemental de juin 2026, Québec comptabilisait 10 777 unités livrées depuis 2023, soit environ 92 % de la cible. Mais ce total regroupe plusieurs programmes, inclut des projets amorcés avant 2022, et les nouvelles initiatives réservent une plus faible proportion de leurs logements aux ménages à faible revenu.
