Enhance the QPIP: minimum $300 per week and 100% income replacement up to $664

Substantially enhance the QPIP (Québec Parental Insurance Plan): guarantee a minimum of $300 in benefits per week, raise income replacement to 100% for benefits between $300 and $664 per week (an average increase of $4,000 per year, according to the PQ), raise basic plan rates from 70% to 75% and from 55% to 60% and the special plan rate from 75% to 80%, extend the period in which benefits can be used to three years, and offer the second parent four weeks of benefits in the event of a perinatal loss.
